Hueify – Color Picker Privacy Policy
Information and permissions used by Hueify
- Camera: used for live color detection. Hueify analyzes the camera preview on your device so you can identify colors around you.
- Camera flash: may be used when you choose to turn on the flash while detecting a color.
- Images you choose: Hueify can analyze an image you select through the Android system photo/file picker. The app accesses only the image you choose for this feature.
- Local app storage: used to save colors you choose to keep and to store app preferences such as theme settings.
How Hueify processes colors and images
Color detection is performed on your device. Hueify can display a detected color name and color values such as HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV/HSB, and CMYK.
Camera frames and images selected for color detection are not uploaded to Indigo Apps Co servers by the current version of Hueify.
Saved colors and app preferences
Colors you save in Hueify are stored locally as app data on your device so they can appear in your Saved section. App preferences, such as your selected theme, are also stored locally.
Android may include certain app data in device or account backups according to your Android backup settings and the operating system's backup behavior.
Internet access and third-party services
The current version of Hueify does not request Android internet permission for its core app functionality and does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, Firebase Crashlytics, or Google Play Billing.
When you choose actions such as opening the Privacy Policy, rating or sharing the app, or sending feedback, Hueify may open an external browser, Google Play, sharing app, or email app. Any information processed by those external services is governed by their own privacy policies and your settings with those services.
Advertising and purchases
The current version of Hueify does not display advertising and does not offer in-app purchases.
If a future version introduces advertising, purchases, or other third-party services, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe those changes before or when the updated version is made available.
Data sharing
Indigo Apps Co does not sell your personal information. The current version of Hueify does not transmit your camera preview, selected images, saved colors, or color values to Indigo Apps Co servers.
Support communications
If you contact us for support or feedback, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message content, and any attachments you send. We use this information to respond to your request and provide support.
Data retention
Saved colors and app preferences remain on your device until you delete them through available app controls, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to any device or account backup settings that may apply.
Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and maintain appropriate records.
Your choices
- You can allow or revoke camera permission through Android settings.
- You decide whether to select an image from your device for color detection.
- You can remove saved colors using the app's available controls.
- You can clear Hueify's local app data through Android settings.
Children's privacy
Hueify does not require an account and the current version does not use advertising or analytics services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through Hueify's core color-detection features.
Security
Hueify is designed so its core color-detection and saved-color features operate locally on your device. We use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the app. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Hueify, its features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
